Today I am celebrating my birthday the best way possible. I have been given the best gift I could have ever asked for, a beautiful baby boy and a man who loves me. We have had a busy year. Back in April I got a promotion at work that has changed both our lives. Not only has it changed us financially but geographically and physically as well. We apparently celebrated a little too hard which is why I am now holding a beautiful baby in my arms. My new job moved us fourty-five miles to a new town and resulted in Travis and I spending most of the summer and my pregnancy apart. While we moved away from a really great group of friends we moved closer to my parents and as a result, free babysitting. I stayed with my parents for the summer to save on gas and mileage while he lived out our lease and packed up the house.
The promotion and change of towns has also made it possible for us to buy a house. We found a perfect two bedroom, one and a half bath with an oversized two car garage halfway between work and my parents house.
Pregnancy was not my favorite thing in the world but it went well until the end when Boo decided to suck the life out of me. The doctor started inducing labor on Travis' birthday, December 11th but Boo was very shy and didn't come out to meet the world until the 14th at 10:48pm. He weighed 8lbs. 6ozs. and was 19 1/2inches long. My life has changed forever but I can't imagine anything different as I look at the beautiful boy we have created.
