Boys Will Be Boys

Travis and Boo had a great time today.  While I was at Grandma's painting for the kids' room Boo was learning about mud.  Dad tried to use the excuse he was letting the boy help water the lawn but we don't really have a lawn to speak of.  What we both agree on is Boo had a great time.
Boo started out playing with the hose.  He did a great job flinging the water around, he managed to flood a fair portion of the front yard.  The flooding then created a new and wonderous toy for the boy, mud.  This gooey brown substance not only squished between his fingers and toes but made an incredible mess, a mess I wasn't there to stop him from making.  I'm such a mean old mom.

He was covered in mud.  It was on his face, his tummy, his legs, and covered his hands.  Being this was a new thing for him he mostly just made a mess with it but I am sure the next time he will get much more creative.  I forsee mud pies galore in my future.
I was a little afraid for my bathtub when Travis sent me the pictures but I am happy to report that he can be taught.  Not only did he not leave a muddy boy for me to clean up but he cleaned the tub out before I got home.  This is a good thing because I know I wouldn't be able to lean over the tub to clean it with the belly I am sporting these days.
